Stucco to James Hardie fiber cement siding

 Reaction Exteriors is a preferred James Hardie installer, offering the popular and durable James Hardie Plank fiber cement board siding.  Hardie Plank is a great choice for homeowners looking to invest in solid household siding. Hardie Plank is a type of fiber-cement siding, as it is comprised of cellulose fibers and cement-like components. If painted and maintained correctly it can last many many years. 



•Remove entire stucco elevation, corner to corner

•Replace OSB or foam board with new 1/2" plywood

•Install Tyvek vapor barrier with cap staples

•Remove and correctly reinstall windows

•Install Hydrogap

•Outline field in 5/4" Azek

•Install Hardi Plank siding according to manufacturers specs

•Flash all butt joints, paint all cut ends, caulk detail where it meets dissimilar material, leave 1/4" joint above all flashings, etc.
